Carol's Casey

I acquired Casey about 6 years ago from the SPCA in Houston. Three months prior to that, I had to put my 14 year old cat, Maurice, to sleep. He looked like a Norwegian Forest cat with stripes, long hair and all. One day I decided I was quite tired of not having a cat greet me at the front door when I came home from work, so I went over to the SPCA, and there Casey was. He was playful and alert in his cage, and he looked very much like my previous cat, so I adopted him right off. Casey only weighed about 7-1/2 lbs at 2 years old then but now weighs 19 lbs, about right for this breed of adult male cat He’s not much different than we are. When it’s time to go to bed, he goes and eats a little, drinks some water, uses his litter box and puts me to bed. That means he lies on the bed with me while I read, and then when I turn out the light, he jumps down and goes to his own bed in the living room. Every night it’s the same thing. He can read my mind, too. Whenever I need to give him eardrops, I don’t even have to look at him. He just knows. I have to try to fool him somehow to get him. A good friend of mine, who pet sits for me sometimes, says Casey has a very wise old soul. I think I agree with her. Carol M.

Suzy Loses One and Finds Two

"Dave and Dinah melted my heart the day Jupiter (my Dominican cat who made Christmas cards and talked on the phone) was found dead, after getting hit by a car. I took him to the vet to be cremated and could not help noticing the babies... They not only have helped me through his death but have entertained me so much I will actually stay at home now. They love to play. Their sister Latte is tolerating them better than she tolerates me. Dianh is on the left with the black nose, Dave is on the right with a pink nose. Suzy "

Wally & Sheba come to Clear Lake

Dr. Richard Zaner and artist June Zaner came to Clear Lake after retirement from Vanderbilt. They decided that they needed some company, so got Wally and Sheba. They are huge fat cats who spend their time sleeping and messing with each other. The Zaners are trying to adjust to the fact that Wally can get on top of the entertainment cabinet. Such is life with cats.

Two Ragdolls and Jenny

There were two ladies who got together and moved to the bay. Jenny Dog lived with them. Then along came two Ragdolls and took over. Ragdolls look like Persians with points like Siamese. The furry ones all live happily now in Houston, being cute and adored by their parents. They just wonder what happened to the birds they used to watch on the water at the bay.

Jaz, Son of Big Nancy and the Bear

Big Nancy and the Bear had a dog for a while named Brittany, whom they adopted when she was 11 years old. This shows what kind of people they are. When Brittany died recently, they wanted another baby to come to live with them. They found Jaz, and he has just take over their lives. Does it get much cuter than this? They live in San Antonio, and Jaz is their primary entertainment and love.

Lexie, Queen of Garden Oaks

Lexie, Queen of Garden Oaks, was adopted by Dian A and Sandy A. Lexie was a rescue, thrown out of a car window, had injuries which could have happened before. Now she has taken over the home and the hearts of these two great folks. She has a Nylabone ring in her mouth. She is firmly convinced that she rules the world.
